Baby Bump!

by

Surprise! Little Baby Colwick will be due in May of 2015. The hubby and I couldn’t be more excited! I found an adorable blog – Little Baby Garvin through Pinterest. The blog author documents her growing baby bump through a series of photos. I loved the idea so much, I just had to copy it!

I found out about my pregnancy at 6 weeks. I was so excited when all three of my at home tests came back positive – but I HAD to be sure before I told the hubby and family. So I made a quick appointment at CareNow and received my official “yes”! I was absolutely elated! I had to wait a good 10 minutes in the CareNow parking lot before driving because I was so excited!

When Kevin got home I had our “youngest” (our yorkie-mix, Augie) waiting for him with a little sign that said “I’m going to be a big brother!” It took a few seconds to sink in and then the water works began… with me that is, not my manly man. 😉

My handsome little fella!
Luckily so far I have only been craving healthy foods, I could eat fruit literally for every meal! Fruit is the only thing that doesn’t make my tummy turn. If I never see meat again I would be one happy camper, meat and eggs… do eggs count as meat? Regardless – both make my tummy turn just thinking of them! I’ve discovered that small meals are best… although the smell of something that I thought sounded good a few seconds ago could make me gag in an instant.

Any who… here it is! My 12 week baby bump:

12 Week Baby Bump

How far along? 12 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Lost 3 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Nope, not so far
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: I could crash right now… my arms feel super heavy and my eyelids feel as if there are weights tied to them.
Best moment this week: Our 12 week ultrasound – little baby Colwick is much bigger than the 8 week ultrasound we had, and he or she was wiggling around a lot! We have one active baby. 🙂
Have you told family and friends: Yep, and now the world!
Miss Anything? Sushi… oh how I miss Sushi.
Movement: Nothing yet
Food cravings: Apples, blueberries, peaches, oranges, red grapes!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Random smells, meat, the grocery store smell and cooking! Who am I kidding… pretty much everything except fruit.
Have you started to show yet: Yep, a little
Gender prediction: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, when I’m not sleeping. 😉
Weekly Wisdom: Buy a full body pillow asap! I just got my Leachco Snoogle – I wish I had this a month ago! It’s a dream and makes sleeping so much better of an experience.
Looking forward to: Starting to show more and move past this “is she fat or pregnant?” stage.
